Christian Aid Week: A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to Christian Aid Week, whether it was attending the coffee morning, giving online or in an envelope. We have added the coffee morning total to what has been given in the envelopes and a total of £968.53 is being sent to Christian Aid. I am sure that money given online will greatly increase this. Thank you again. Janet Squire and the Christian Aid Committee.
June Magazine: Printing will be on Monday 1 June and pick up from late morning. Please let us know if you are unable to collect during the week.
Duck Race Tickets: Annette will be selling duck tickets at Church on the next few Sundays. They are a £1 a ticket and there are five prizes ranging from £100 down to £10. The Duck race takes place on Sunday 21 June followed by Teas on the Green, and the money raised will go to support Burley Scout and Guide group.
Ilkley & Otley Choral Societies will be performing Rutter’s Magnificat, Poulenc’s Gloria, and Jean Racine’s Faure Cantique at St Margaret’s Church Ilkley, on Saturday 13 June at 7pm. Tickets are available from the Grove Bookshop, Ilkley; the Bookshop on the Square, Otley and online via eventbrite.
Sharon and Annette are needing help with packing the bookmarks, addressing the envelopes and preparing them to go to the post office after the bookmark auction. So can anyone spare a couple of hours on any day from Tuesday 26 May through to Friday 29 May? Please contact us on 07850 544523 if you can help.
Message from Zoe: You are invited to my ordination to the presbyterate on Saturday 27 June 2026 at 3pm in Bradford Cathedral. The service will last no longer than two hours. To reserve one of the seats allocated to me in the Nave, please sign up for a ticket via https://bradfordcathedral.churchsuite.com/events/hcmjsaky by 14 June. If you find that you cannot come, please cancel your booking. There will also be some unallocated seating available on a first-come-first-served basis. Doors will be open from 2pm and you are asked to be seated by 2.45am. If you have accessibility needs, please let us know on your booking form. The service will also be live-streamed on the cathedral’s Facebook and YouTube channels and available for up to two weeks after the event.
